Visa for students on the Student Route

If you're an international student planning to visit the UK to study, you will need to submit an application for a visa through the Home Office for a visa. In the majority of cases, you'll require the Visa for students. To apply for this visa, you must get sponsored by an educational provider that is approved with the UK Home Office.

Our University of Law is a Student Sponsor that is approved from the UK Home Office. We have been fully approved from The UK Government to sponsor international students to obtain an Student Route visa under the Points Based System.

 

We suggest that you go through the details on this website along with appendix ST Student in the Immigration Rules, which contains the Home Office's guidelines regarding students. Student migration route. It is also recommended to be aware of the Student Visa Policy.

 

You are not able to access into the UK as a temporary student or Visitor, and then switch to an Student Route. We at the University of Law cannot enrol you in all of our Full-Time classes as a short-term student that exceeds 6 months. Furthermore, we are unable to enroll students on an Visitor visa or any other visa that doesn't permit studies.

 

Please note that the university is currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for students who are enrolled in part-time studies. We are also unable to sponsor students for online classes due to Home Office regulations.

 

Students who already have UK visa or immigration permit


If you have already obtained immigration permit or visa for the UK If you do, you are required to provide proof of your current Right to Study in the UK (e.g. passport or Biometric Residence Permit) by using the online system for verification. It will be necessary to complete this process following your acceptance of an invitation to study with us. Also, you must go through the Right to Study Policy.

 

You can't enrol in your course or take part in any of the learning sessions until you have obtained verified your Right to Study verified by the University.

 

It is the obligation for every International students to obtain the proper immigration permit that allows students to study at the UK and extends the time they are studying.

 

Please be aware that UK immigration regulations can change at any point and students are advised to consult the latest revision of Immigration Rules.

 

EEA and Swiss Nationals

The UK has introduced an immigration system that will be in effect from the 1st of January, 2021. If you're an EEA or Swiss national, you'll require a visa to be able to study in the UK at this time or unless you are in possession of Pre-Settled or Settled status to the UK. Hong Kong British National (Overseas)

It is reported that the Home Office is introducing a new Hong Kong British National (Overseas) visa for applicants with British National Overseas citizens and typically residents of Hong Kong. There is more information regarding the Visa in this guideline.

 

Graduate Route Visa

It is designed for those who have earned the degree-level qualification by an accredited UK Higher Education provider. Graduates can be flexible, change jobs and further develop their careers within the UK for a period of 2 years after the successful completion of an UK degree. Your application does not require the endorsement of a sponsor or employer. Your University of Law will be required to notify UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) that you have completed your studies.

 

In order to apply, you must have completed your degree in your current Tier 4or Student Route permission. It is only available to those who have graduated. Route is only available to applicants who have completed their degree and are able to prove that they have valid Tier 4 permission.

 

If your course is not completed due to a resit , or revision, you will not get a final outcome until the time your student visa expires and you won't be qualified to apply for an Graduate Visa for the route. It is crucial to remember that you are not able to prolong your visa for purpose of waiting for results or to cover a resit time in the event that physical attendance isn't necessary for the resit, for instance, submitting coursework online. Only way to guarantee your eligibility for the Graduate route is to complete your studies within the stipulated timeframe, and be able to confirm that result within the timeframe the validity of your visa.
